Alishan BlackFloating Leaves Tea
This is a high mountain black tea from Alishan. This type of tea is also called Red Oolong because it is dark like a black (red) tea, but aromatic like an oolong. The leaves are tightly ball rolled in the style of high mountain oolong, and it has a complexity of notes that reflects high elevation grown tea. We find this tea is popular with a broad range of tea drinkers because it is fragrant, sweet and fruity with a full aftertaste and mouthfeel.
Big juicy fruit notes dominate in the sweet aroma of this tea. The broth brews up a deep reddish orange, tastes sweet and juicy, and has a good sense of balance. Notes are bold and complex, ranging from fresh tropical fruit to dried fruit. Having been oxidized closer to the black tea range, the mouthfeel is rich and closer to medium bodied while maintaining and oolong-like finish and aftertaste. Overall this tea is full of flavor, naturally sweet, and has a range of attention grabbing fruit notes!
