Crimson Lishan

This high mountain tea from Lishan is processed like a black tea, but has the complexity and delicacy of oolong. When we first tried this tea we were surprised by how soft and nuanced it is for a black tea.

This harvest is made up of smaller leaves with a lot of little buds. It is finer and more concentrated than the previous harvest. Notes are big and beautiful and sweet. Very prominent caramel and rich fruity notes. There's a high mountain complexity of flavor, and the broth reaches down into the throat. We especially like how this tea feels in the body.
