2021 Spring Shan Lin Xi High MountainFloating Leaves Tea
Shan Lin Xi has been off the menu for a while. It's been tough to find one that's clean and well made. But thanks to a friend who decided to take matters into his own hands and start growing tea up there himself, we've got a solid option for the SLX lovers this season!
Shan Lin Xi is located in the South of Taiwan, and this particular garden is located about 1500 meters above sea level.
Aroma is brilliant and robust with notes of sweet flowers, passionfruit and buttery Spring vegetables are all in there. The aroma is fattest in the tropical fruit end of the spectrum. Broth is full with a classic buttery feel, and the mineral salty note that we look for in Shan Lin Xi.
There's a nice mouth coating texture that spreads comfortably from the tongue to the cheeks and down the throat. Good salivation, and sweet aftertaste. Overall it's the most robust of our standard high mountain lineup. Lots of flavor!
