Secret Garden Alishan High Mountain 2024 Spring
Brilliant, oily jade colored broth reveals this tea's extremely elegant and nuanced nature. Fragrance is just captivating. A milky cotton candy sweetness is enlivened by soft lilac and honeysuckle tones up top and a pomelo sharpness gives it a sense of momentum. The dynamic aroma lingers in the mouth and throat — in other words it tastes like it smells — where it keeps developing and changing over time.
The mouthfeel is viscous with an almost olive oil like texture. The strong life energy of the tea is apparent in its expansive presence in the mouth which puffs like a cloud up to the roof of the mouth and spreads to the sides of the tongue. A hint of mineral saltiness brings forth almost effervescent salivation, leaving behind a clean and fresh afterglow.
Energetic, fragrant and clean high mountain oolong that just feels good to drink.
