Red Peony

This Red Peony is a modern invention, made by processing Taiwan's famous Ruby 18 varietal with white tea techniques. It is essential a white peony white tea [Bai Mu Dan], but it is made with Ruby 18 and more oxidized than white peony. There is a unique minty aroma that only seems to show up in the Ruby 18 cultivar that is present in this tea. Ruby 18 is often called Sun Moon Lake black tea.

This white tea has big beautiful leaves! The flavor is fruity and sweet, with the minty feeling in the aftertaste. The broth is light and juicy. It is very refreshing, and the broth is softer than last season with slightly more depth.
