Hehuan Shan High Mountain 2022 Winter
Story
This Hehuan Shan high mountain oolong was harvested from a garden at about 1800 meters elevation. Hehuan Shan is geographically near Lishan, and sometimes included in the category of Lishan tea. We look for Hehuan Shan with rich buttery body, and an elegant, delicate fragrance.
Description
The aroma wafting off of the jade colored broth is that of flowers and citrus that we hope to find in good Winter oolong. Notes of potent florals, pomelo and piney evergreen. Broth is buttery and sweet. I can feel the thick aromatic oils concentrate on the back of my tongue, and evaporate into a mouth filling aftertaste after swallowing.
Classical High Mountain fare. Buttery and extremely fragrant. They say Winter harvest oolong has a more potent fragrance, and this one really shows it.
