Ancient Cypress Forest
Story
An Oolong from our charcoal roasting teacher. Harvested from a pristine garden, left to grow with no intervention except pulling up the wild grass. The name is derived from the place, where lots of old cypress trees grow. Between Alishan and Yushan.
Description
This oolong is considered high elevation tea, oxidized with a skillful hand to about 25%, and very gently cured over charcoal to bring out its natural fragrance.
A very open aroma and full, oily broth. Excellent energy, and a honey note from the tea jassids. Not an obvious tea, actually on the quiet side.
Scent has a brilliant, airy quality that is very calming.
