Old World Cultivars : Their Place in Taiwanese TeaFloating Leaves Tea
This will be a very educational series of tea classes! We'll compare lots of different oolong cultivars -or- varietals and talk about their history, signature characteristics and place in modern Taiwanese tea production.
This one is for the real tea nerds and tea historians to geek out and compare a bunch of Old World cultivars. What I mean by Old World is that these plants were imported from Fujian long ago and have become the basis for Taiwan oolong history.
In theis class we will explore the features that have made these cultivars classics in the world of oolong tea, and where they stand in contemporary tea production.
