Modern Muzha Tie Guanyin

This Tie Guan Yin grown in Muzha (Maokong) earns the descriptor 'modern' because it is roasted at a higher temperature for a shorter time than it's more 'traditional' counterpart.

Notes range from the more savory, roasty side of the spectrum that is associated with Tie Guan Yin to the ripe fruit/nutty side. Notes of fresh roasted sesame oil.

In other words, on top of the Tie Guan Yin features, there is a friendly, fragrant aspect of the tea that almost reminds me of high mountain oolong. This is the first Muzha Tie Guan Yin we've had in the lineup for a few years now. Tie Guan Yin lovers, I hope this will scratch your itch!
