2020 Spring Alishan High Mountain
$13.00

Story

Alishan was the first high mountain region in Taiwan to begin growing tea on a large scale. We like to find Alishan oolongs with lots of beautiful floral notes. The tea garden that we work with is located about 1200 meters high in Zhangshu Hu.

We found this Spring Alishan through a friend in Taipei. Initially we were pretty disappointed with the Winter harvest from Alishan, and we were a little frightened we weren't going to be able to carry Alishan this season. Luckily, our friend had held onto this Spring version, and he used heat to push out some of the moisture for us. This way, he was able to revive the Spring tea to it's former glory, with floral tones and a sweet buttery body.

Description

The fragrance is sweet and buttery. There are delicate notes of flowers with gentle citrus tones. The broth is soft and sweet with an alluring aftertaste that reflects the floral tones again.

This is a delightfully easygoing high mountain oolong. Sweet and floral with a buttery feeling. Thanks to the ingenuity of some good friends in Taiwan we were able to get an Alishan for our Alishan fans despite some initial challenges with the Winter season. Buy a bag to celebrate ;)
