2019 Winter Alishan High MountainFloating Leaves Tea
Alishan was the first high mountain region in Taiwan to begin growing tea on a large scale. We like to find Alishan oolongs with lots of beautiful floral notes. The tea garden that we work with is located about 1200 meters high in Zhangshu Hu.
Wet leaves smell sweet and creamy-buttery. Broth is well balanced and sweet with fruity tones. Aroma is elegant and complex.
In the second infusion the 'hit' of the tea, that moment when the broth stimulates the mouth, is solid and is followed by long lasting salivation.
This tea is elegant. The aroma is floral and the mouthfeel is creamy.
