Red Oolong & Black Tea

Red Oolong & Black Tea

These teas can have notes in the realm of dried fruit, caramel and malt. Relying on deeper oxidation rather than roasting or aging to produce their red-amber color, red oolong is like a baby of oolong and black tea. Black tea (also known as red tea) from Taiwan also has an oolong like character thanks to the heavy oolong influence in the tea making culture.

These keep well and are often well suited to aging.
