Jade Peak High Mountain 2024 Spring
Often referred to as Lishan tea, Cui Feng (read : Tsui Fong; translated as Jade Peak) is actually its own growing region at a super high elevation of 2000 meters. It has some similar notes to Lishan, but of course has a unique terroir of its own.
The color of this tea matches its place name - Jade - both the color of the dry leaves on the broth. Very light oxidation retains a fantastic marzipan sugary scent with bright notes gardenia, honeysuckle, lemon and pomelo that swirl with a dizzying complexity. Lean and tender, this tea shows off the strengths of extreme high elevations.
Full on umami in the mouth, the broth is zippy with a light mineral texture. Aftertaste reaches the throat and lingers with complex, shifting aromas long after the swallow. Stimulating with high vibration high mountain energy.
If you're a fan of super complex high mountain scent, this is your tea.
