Alishan BlackFloating Leaves Tea
This is a high mountain black tea from Alishan. This type of tea is also called Red Oolong because it is dark like a black (red) tea, but aromatic like an oolong. We find this tea is popular with a broad range of tea drinkers because it is complex in aroma, sweet and fruity with a full aftertaste and mouthfeel.
The leaves are tightly ball rolled in the style of high mountain oolong, and it has a complexity of notes that reflects high elevation tea. But the notes are darker, staying in the realm of tropical fruit and pear. It is a flavorful and fruity tea. The broth is juicy with medium weight in the mouth and a nice mouthwatering effect that shows up in the aftertaste. It does very well "grandpa style". The tea is defined by its sweet, fruity bouquet.
