Shop Closed (Online and Brick and Mortar) 8/23-8/30
When you're reading this, Shiuwen and her son will have already landed in Taiwan for the first time in four years! They're so happy to get to go back home, visit family and study with our tea teachers! This is the first time since the pandemic that they've gotten a chance to go as a family. We don't know if the boy's grandma will recognize him, he's 15 years old now and grown about a foot!!
I (Noah) am currently holding down the fort in Seattle, but will be joining them in a week. Therefore our shop will be closed for about a week's time starting this coming Wednesday. So if you need any tea, make sure to place an order before the 20th and I'll send it out lickety split.

Floating Leaves will be closed August 23rd through the 30th
That means :
- No in store shopping while we're gone (even on the weekends)
- Local pickup orders will be available again on the 31st
- Online orders placed after the 20th will be shipped out no earlier than the 31st
Shiuwen will get back on the 31st, and I'll stick around Taiwan for another couple weeks. I've got an opportunity to learn to make Dong Ding oolong by hand from an old master, a cousin of our good friend Mr. Su who supplies the Dong Ding Traditional A. I am unbelievably excited and will be sure to document the experience.
Also, thank you everyone who showed up to support during the anniversary sale. We broke our previous record, and are extremely grateful for this community of tea drinkers. You guys rock.
We'll be looking for some cool off-season finds in Taiwan, so stay tuned!
