"333" Shan Lin Xi High Mountain Oolong 2026 Spring
The tea is from a very special garden in the San Ceng Ping area of Shan Lin Xi, the 3rd highest growing area in that region at about 1800 meters above sea-level.
This is the first time we've gotten a Spring batch of 333. It has the same exquisite internal development and soft power that for us defines the beauty of this garden. However the flavor of the season gives it a youthful flair. It is more spritely and agile.
I love the way the aroma develops, it gives me a feeling as if you realize there is something more than what you are seeing with your eyes, but you can't make it out clearly enough to actually define it. It encourages me to explore the edges of my senses, like smelling shapes and colors. But externally it is delicate and clear like a fresh mountain spring.
The power that feels so internal like a spring full of potential energy in the aroma and taste realizes itself fully in the body. This tea has a potent qi in the body that I feel as a warmth in my belly which continues outward. It has a 'filling' feel in the head as well as the body. It reaches into my sinus, behind my eyes and to the top of my head.
We feel this tea starts strong, and actually improves as the infusions go on. Today the fifth infusion was my favorite, the tea felt relaxed and at the same time full and soothing.
